73, passed away on September 11, 2015, at Southern Ocean Medical Center. Born in Bayonne, he was a resident for most of his life prior to moving to Manahawkin. A graduate of Marist High School, Mr. Elia received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Farleigh Dickinson University in chemistry and a degree in Pharmacy from St. John’s University. He was employed by Wesson Oil, Bayonne, for 23 years as an assistant plant manager, and later worked as a pharmacist for both Rite Aid and Drug Fair in Bayonne before retiring. Mr. Elia is survived by his wife, Mary Elaine (nee: Anderson); his children, Lisa, Michael (Noel), Auggie (Grace) and Marc (Amy) Elia; his granddaughters, Sarah, Danielle, Shannon, Maddie and Sydney Elia; his siblings Arlene Seeley (Dave) and Joseph Elia (Pam); his brother-in-law, Anthony Anderson; and many nieces and nephews.
