Born in Irvington, he spent most of his life in Bayonne and was an Army National Guard Reservist from 1960 to 1966 and worked as an Electronics Engineer for many years. He was the husband of the late Patricia Ann Kimmig (nee: O’Brien); father of Frank Kimmig Sr. and Kerry Kimmig and her partner, Meghan.
