Growing garbage problem

To the Editor:/

I am writing to propose that something be done about the garbage in the streets of Bayonne. I recently moved here, and while the city seems to be up and coming, I am appalled at the trash on the sidewalk that I see daily as I walk from the 8th street light rail to my home. I understand that the town cannot stop hoodlums from littering and throwing their trash. However, I have noticed this large pile of garbage on 14th street that has been there for one week. It is now surrounded by flies (I am concerned about bacteria spreading). I do not believe I should have to reside in a place filled with trash, especially when most of my earnings go to the government.
