HOBOKEN—This coming Saturday, Aug. 29, two Hoboken-based artists will kick off a new exhibition at the Monroe Center for the Arts with live jazz, food and wine. The show, known as “Sound and Color,” features the work of painters Ed Tadiello and Gloria Pacis, both of whom have studio space at the center.
Ed Tadiello captures gestures of grace, peace and spirituality on canvas. His main medium is oils, acrylic and graphite. His specialty is the female form. Gloria Pacis says of her work, “I like to create through color a scene that transforms reality into something magical.”
The opening event boasts light fare served by Bobby Maurer, the former personal chef to Eddie Murphy. It will take place on Aug. 29 from 7 to 10 p.m. in Studio C414 at The Monroe Center, located at 720 Monroe St. Free parking is available in the lot behind the center.
