Division of Recreation and U.S. Sports Institute open registration for fall lacrosse

The co-ed lacrosse camp at 16th Street Park is open to beginners with little to no previous experience.
Children ages 5 to 10 will learn the skills and rules of the game in a safe, non-contact fashion. Players will be grouped by age, ability and skill level with equipment provided.
Program highlights include stick familiarity, cradling and scooping, running with the ball, throwing and catching, and shooting and dodging.
First Play Lacrosse is a wonderful introduction to the sport for beginners ages 5 to 10 who have little or no prior experience. Schedules are as follows on Tuesdays from September 15 through October 27:
Ages 5 and 6 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.
Ages 7 and 8 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.
Ages 9 and 10 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Register fees are $105 on or before September 2; and after $125.
