87, died July 20, 2015 in Newnan, Ga. Born in Atlanta, GA, he lived for a while in Bayonne, and was the general clerk for the U.S. Post Office in Kearny for many years. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was the husband of the late Josephine (nee: Steward); the father of Deborah Sampson, Kevin Smith, Michele Jimenez, Marcella Callaway, Belinda Olds, Theresa Copeland, and Monique Andrews; grandfather of 22; great-grandfather of 25; and great-grandfather of four.
