BAYONNE – The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey announced that the Bayonne Bridge will close for most of the July 24 to 26 weekend to accommodate ongoing construction work on the “Raise the Roadway” project.
The bridge will be closed from 11:59 p.m. Friday, July 24, through 4 p.m. Sunday, July 26. The bridge will remain open from that point until 9 a.m. Monday, July 27, to accommodate those returning from beaches and other destinations.
The Bayonne Bridge shuttle service, which provides alternate transportation for pedestrians and cyclists, will not operate this weekend.
