Dear Editor:
Each day I walk through Columbus Park and each day I am disappointed by the landscaping choices. I have noticed that the metal fences have been fixed and painted better and the grass is looking good. I had a serious reaction to the park’s decision to taking down the only remaining tree in the pavilion’s court area which I believe has been there for decades. This was followed by the park’s decision to take out all the beautiful bushes that offered some sort of privacy.
What remains there now showcases a lack of funding, lack of expertise, and lack of ambition/care.
