PANDOLFO, ANTONIO

A funeral mass was held July 2 at Holy Rosary Church, Jersey City, for Antonio Pandolfo, 87, of Jersey City. He passed away June 26. He was born in S. Arsenio, Provincia di Salerno and moved to Jersey City over 50 years ago with his family. When growing up in Italy, he worked as an apprentice to his late father, learning the carpentry trade over the years. He became a skilled cabinet maker, and was able to do or fix just about anything with the finest detail. He took great pride in his family’s annual tradition of making wine and canning the best tomatoes that were used for sauce. He loved spending time with his three grandchildren Antonio, Johnny and Christina. Antonio was the husband of Giovannina (Quagliariello) for over 50 years; father of Arsenio Pandolfo and his wife Francesca, and Margherita Pandolfo; grandfather of Antonio Pandolfo, Johnny and Christina Maher; brother of Francesco. Mario Pandolfo and the late Corrado Pandolfo. Also survived by many nieces and nephews in Italy. Services arranged by the Riotto Funeral Home, Jersey City.
