82, passed away June 14, 2015 in Naples, Fla. Born in upstate New York, he lived most of his life in the city retiring from IMTT before his move in 2008.
He served in the U. S. Army with the military police during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Caterina (nee: Violi); his children Catherine and her husband, Jack; Dianne and her husband, Leo; Maria Teresa and her husband, Steven; his grandchildren, Arianna, Sarah, Nicolas, Anthony, Vincent, and Robert; his sisters, Maria Luceno, Teresa Filippone and Caterina Violi. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and godchildren within the U.S. and Italy. He was was predeceased by his parents Caterina (nee: Brancatella) and Vito Cortese; and his sisters, Marion Sinopoli and Antoinette Rossi.
