Three men jump into Hudson River in two separate incidents

HUDSON COUNTY — A man jumped into the Hudson River in Hoboken on Sunday on a dare, and two men jumped into the Hudson River on Monday in Jersey City, telling police that they wanted to cool off.
The river’s undercurrents are very dangerous and many people have drowned in the waters near Hudson County.
The police patrolling the Exchange Place waterfront at about 3:30 a.m. on Monday said they saw two men swimming back to the dock. Friends apparently pulled them out of the water. The men, ages 19 and 21, were not charged with any crime, but the 19-year-old was sent to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment, police officials said.
In Hoboken, the East Rutherford man who jumped in ended up needing a slew of rescuers to pull him out.
