Pulaski Skyway will be closed in both directions for the weekend

JERSEY CITY – New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials said the Pulaski Skyway will be closed in both directions for the weekend for the installation of new deck panels as the rehabilitation of the historic 83-year-old bridge advances.
Beginning at 11 p.m. Friday, June 5, through 3 p.m. Sunday, June 7, NJDOT’s contractor, CCA Civil Inc. is scheduled to close the Pulaski Skyway southbound at the off-ramp to I-280/Route 7 and Route 1&9 southbound for the installation of new deck panels and other related work.
The full closure includes most on and off ramps, including the southbound on ramp from Tonnele Circle. The ramp from the Skyway to I-280/Route 7 and Route 1&9 southbound will remain open.
Due to the temporary installation of metal plates on the Skyway, motorcyclists are strongly advised to find an alternate route or use extreme caution when traveling on the southbound lanes of the Pulaski Skyway when it is open.
