Dear Editor:
I have been driving through Hudson County Park in North Bergen, NJ for forty plus years. I am amazed at all the work finally being done to the park. New roads, sewerage, signs, painted lines, ball fields, pond cleaned up (I jog around the pond), the rocks cleaned and painted, etc… Someone finally took the bull by the horns, which is Freeholder Anthony P. Vainieri Jr. of North Bergen, NJ, and did all of these things in a swift manner. I would like to say that for forty plus years, ex-freeholders who oversaw Hudson County Park collected their check every two weeks and went home.
Freeholder Vainieri, I commend you on a job well done. I have heard the paddle boats and petting zoo will eventually return, as well as a planned carousel and train ride at some point in the future. It is a fantastic idea for children and their families.
In closing, the painted rocks look great (red and gold) however as a St. Joseph’s High School of West New York graduate I would like on painted blue and gold.
Sincerely,
William Renner
