Health Fair to provide free screenings in Union City on May 3

UNION CITY – Palisades Medical Center will provide free health screenings on May 3 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at First United Methodist, 407 23rd St., Union City. Free screenings and information will be available on blood pressure, heart rate, percentage of oxygen in the blood, peak flow/respiratory, HgbA1c blood test for diabetes, body mass index – BMI, charity care, and certificates for mammography, prostate screening, and HIV testing.
Throughout the year, Palisades Medical Center’s staff takes an active role in local communities by providing free health screenings and education programs. The New Jersey Hospital Association (NJHA) recognized Palisades Medical Center’s Community Outreach Program with its Community Outreach Award for its unique and effective methods of reaching out to better serve the healthcare needs of area residents.
