87, passed away April 11, 2015. Born in Bayonne, he was a lifelong resident. He was a member of the Merchant Marine during World War II and was discharged from the U.S. Coast Guard. He was a checker for the International Longshoreman’s Association at Port Newark. He was predeceased by his siblings Leo and Peter Wernoch, Agnes Maciag, Ann Golias and Adele Cichetti. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Ann Varnak (nee: Kudryk); father of Donna Varnak, Kathleen Varnak, Deborah and Carol Stickler; grandfather of Tiffany, Abby, Matthew Jr., Taylor and John; and many nieces and nephews.
