He was the husband of the late Rosula (nee: Masaoy); and was the father of Cecilia Galapate; Francisco Galapate Jr. and his wife; Lalaine; Nancy Valencia and her husband, Carlos; and Rosemary Balite and her husband Jaquel; grandfather to Maria Luisa Raymundo and her husband, Antonio; Cheska Marie Galapate; and Joshua Patrick and Jerome Paolo Balite; and great-grandfather to Cessna Liegh and Luan Raymundo. He is survived by his sister Juanita Lorenzo and her husband, Primitivo; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in the U.S. and in the Philippines.
