A funeral mass was offered April 13 at Ss. Peter and Paul RC Church, Hoboken, for Anthony Joseph Romano, 74, of Hoboken. He passed away April 6 at Hackensack University Medical Center. Born in Jersey City, Anthony served in the U.S. National Guard and was the owner and chef of Portofino Ristorante in Hoboken for twenty years before his retirement ten years ago. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Lena Romano (nee: Marotta); a brother, Charles Romano; and two sisters, Rita Romano and Anna Chirichella. Anthony will be missed by his wife, Yvonne Romano (nee: Santangelo); son, Joseph A. Romano and his wife Lisa; daughter, and best friend Renee Romano; brother, Rocco Romano; and his nieces, Maureen, Annette, and Jovan Chirichella.
