GANNON, JOHN T. SR.

90, passed away on April 2, 2015. Born in Bayonne, he was a lifelong resident. He was a retired operations engineer for the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey. A Purple Heart recipient, he proudly served the nation as a member of the U.S. Army during World War II. During his wartime service, he was part of a team that liberated concentration camps at the end of the war and was also involved in the D-Day invasion. He was predeceased by his wife, Eileen Gannon (nee: O’Sullivan). He is survived by his children, Maryanne Rosenberg; Dr. John Gannon Jr. and his wife, Karen; his grandchildren, Holly, Sherri, Jason and Justin Rosenberg; and Cara, Courtney and John T. Gannon III; and his siblings, Claire Gannon, Terry McHugh; and William Gannon and his wife, Mary. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sisters of St. Joseph Development Fund, Mt.
