BAYONNE – The Alexan CityView apartment complex at the Peninsula at Bayonne Harbor is adding a security patrol there following a sixth burglary this year that was reported earlier this week, according to an online story.
Residents at the luxury apartments received a notification that a “courtesy officer” will be patrolling the buildings starting this week, said a story on nj.com.
The last burglary, reported to police on Sunday, April 5, involved the taking of $1,300 of change from a jug from one of the apartments, nj.com attributed Capt. Robert Geisler as saying.
Five of the six burglaries took place in apartments and did not show signs of forced entry, Geisler told nj.com.
The other burglary took place in the Alexan’s parking garage and involved the theft of four tires and rims from a vehicle there, the story said. No one has been arrested regarding any of the incidents.
