Overcast skies could not break the spell of the fifth annual Hoboken Grace Easter Egg Hunt, held Saturday, March 28 at Mama Johnson Field in southwest Hoboken. The event drew 150 volunteers and 2,800 parents and children, though the key statistic was undoubtedly the 15,000 candy-stuffed eggs up for grabs in the hunt.
Before and after the hunt, the children in attendance took advantage of a full buffet of fun and games, from bouncy castles and sack races to face painting and ladder golf. Families could also take pictures with four life-size Easter bunnies—Flopsy, Mopsy, Peter, and Cottontail.
“It’s an awesome event for everyone involved,” said Anthony Reimer, Outreach Director of Hoboken Grace. “As a church, Hoboken Grace is always looking for ways to serve and love people in and around our communities.”
Hoboken Grace is a contemporary, nondenominational Christian Church catering to the young urban professionals and families of Hudson County. It is located in the Rue Building at 301 Garden St. and has a satellite campus in Hamilton Park, Jersey City.
