A funeral mass was offered March 21 at St. Francis RC Church, Hoboken, for Ann Jagar, 92. She passed away at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on March 18. Born in Hoboken, Ann lived there most of her life. A retired book keeper for Alorno Coat Company in Hoboken, she was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She was predeceased by her husband, Emille E. Jagar in 1995; a brother, Nicholas; and a sister, Phyllis Pierro. She will be missed by her son and daughter, Robert Jagar (Carol) and Margaret Jagar-Watson (Richard). Ann was the surrogate mother to her niece, Lee Ann Scurti for more than 40 years after the passing of her sister. Surviving is one sister, Frances Biancamano. A great joy in her life were her grandchildren, Antonia, Fiona, Chris, Kim, Michael, Sophia, Alec, Salvatore, and Michael. Ann was the great grandmother of Charlotte, Ryan, Jessica, and Andrew. A parishioner to St. Francis Church, Ann was also a former president of the Mother’s Guild there. Services arranged by the Failla Memorial Home, Hoboken.
