HOBOKEN–Enjoy delicious food and raise money for ovarian cancer this Saturday, March 28, from 1 to 4 p.m. Grandma’s Italian Rolling Kitchen, a food truck located at 931 Monroe St. behind the ShopRite, will be serving up meatballs, sausage and peppers, hot dogs, and cheesecake, and all of the proceeds will go to Gilda’s Club, a cancer support organization founded in honor of ovarian cancer victim and SNL veteran Gilda Radner.
Ten-year-old Hobokenite Rocco Riccardi Jr., a budding chef extraordinaire, will be cooking the meatballs on site based on a recipe of his own design. The event is dedicated to the memory of Riccardi’s cousin Angela Trombetta, who passed away from ovarian cancer in 2009.
