NORTH BERGEN – Palisades Medical Center officially opened their new John Theurer Cancer Center (JTCC) on Wednesday, March 11. The 9,600-square-foot outpatient facility is built on the grounds of the hospital with a view of the Manhattan skyline.
JTCC has been in existence for more than 25 years in Hackensack. It was ranked the top cancer center in New Jersey by U.S. News & World Report for four consecutive years and among the top three in the New York metro area.
“Our goal has always been to deliver exceptional care to our patients,” said Bruce J. Markowitz, president and chief executive officer of Palisades Medical Center, in a press release. “Through our recent partnership with Hackensack University Medical Center and with the opening of the John Theurer Cancer Center at Palisades Medical Center, we now offer the highest quality cancer care to the Palisades community.”
With Korean and Spanish-speaking providers, the new facility provides residents access to consultation with disease-specific cancer specialists, top diagnostic and treatment technologies, and the opportunity to enroll in over 200 clinical trials. The new center also marks the first and only outpatient clinical care site for gynecologic oncology in Hudson County.
Palisade Medical Center is located at 7650 River Road in North Bergen.
