A mass of Christian burial was held Feb. 10 at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, Jersey City, for Peter J. Walsh, 60, of Holmdel. He passed away surrounded by his family on Feb. 7 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Peter was born in Jersey City, where he grew up and lived for many years. On Sept. 4, 1977, Peter and his wife, Elizabeth, were married and started their lives together in Jersey City. In 1995, he and his family settled in Holmdel.
Peter was the past proprietor of Walsh Dodge, a car dealership in Jersey City, and was an active auto dealer. He also was an avid horseman. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Emily (Giordano) Walsh. Peter is survived by his wife of 37 years, Elizabeth (Castro) Walsh, his daughter, Lana Walsh of Hoboken, his brothers, William “Billy” Walsh and his wife Jeanie of Manchester, and Michael Walsh of Middletown, along with his grandson, Dean Tartaglia, and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
