Lucky to have Mayor Roque

Dear Editor:
My name is Beatrice Oliveti. I was born and raised in West New York. My father was the late Commissioner Joseph P. Oliveti, who was elected with the Focus 71 team of commissioners years ago.
West New York is fortunate beyond words and measure to have a mayor like the Honorable Dr. Mayor Felix E. Roque. During Mayor Roque’s administration, taxes haven’t been raised, the streets are safer, and more police officers have been deployed to the streets for our safety in West New York. Mayor Roque always takes the time to get to know the needs of the people of the town of West New York by speaking with them at an event, at his office in town hall, or even on the streets of West New York when he sees them.
On a personal note, I’ve worked at town hall for 13 years, since 2002. I’ve worked for 3 different administrations. But Mayor Roque is the most humanitarian mayor I’ve ever worked for. Mayor Roque is able to see past my blindness to the person I am and he recognizes the ideas and experience I bring to the table. Mayor Roque’s entire administration is made up of wonderful people who don’t allow my disability to prevent them from seeing that I’m a regular person despite my disability
The people of West New York are lucky to have one of the most humanitarian mayors they’ve ever had and his wonderful board of commissioners and administration representing them and advocating for them! I love this great town of West New York! I was born and raised here and I went to school here! My mind is at ease now that this town that I love and that holds such a special place in my heart is being overseen by such a wonderful, capable, and humanitarian mayor and by his wonderful administration. Thank you Honorable Dr. Mayor Felix E. Roque, West New York Board of Commissioners, and Mayor Roque’s staff for all you do. I appreciate you.

Very truly yours,
Beatrice Oliveti
