JERSEY CITY — What could be a foreshadowing of the next gubernatorial race, NJBiz has Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop as number 10 in its top 100 most powerful people in the state.
State Senate President Steve Sweeney, who is expected to opposed Fulop in the 2017 Democratic primary for governor, came in at number 6.
While Gov. Christopher Christie topped the list followed by South Jersey power broker George E. Norcross, state Assembly Speaker Vincent Prieto was listed as no. 27, U.S. Senator Robert Menendez at No. 51, and Nariman Farvardin, president of Stevens Institute of Technology, at No. 60.
