Letter to the Editor:
Since the public is not privy to the inner workings of either the mayor’s office or the board of education, the community must depend on your newspaper to report the latest information.
Regarding the mayor, earlier there was the announcement to “Recreate Recreation.” This can only be wonderful and beneficial to the children and parents living in the city of Bayonne. A step forward!
Regarding the board of education, earlier it addressed naming the tennis courts within Bayonne High School after legendary coach, Bill Broderick. This would be a timely and well-deserved honor.
I am writing because March 1 starts spring sports: baseball, softball, track, volleyball, golf, and tennis. I suggest that this would be an opportune time for both the mayor and the board to give substance to their words.
