MURPHY, DELIA A.

87, passed away from cancer on January 9, 2015, at Brighton Gardens Nursing Home, in Edison. Born in Jersey City, she lived in Bayonne before moving to Edison over 20 years ago. Delia was a Senior Examiner for the NJ State Unemployment Office for 25 years. She was a parishioner at St. Cecelia Church in Iselin and a member of the Edison Senior Citizens. Delia was a devout Catholic who enjoyed knitting and reading. She is predeceased by her husband Timothy Murphy and her siblings, Marie Hoolihan and John McHugh and her son-in-law, Donald Cannon. She is survived by her children Delia Murphy of Glen Ridge, Margaret Wilson and her husband Gary of Dana Point, Calif., Timothy Murphy and his wife Bridget of Bayonne, Joseph Murphy and his wife Maureen of Glen Ridge, Ellen Kazura and her husband Alherd of Waxhaw, N.C. and Mary McCloud and her husband Kenneth of Fort Myers, Fla., as well as nine grandchildren Daniel, Laura, Cullen, Evan, Katherine, Peter, Andrew, Emily, Adam and two great grandchildren, Madison and Caitlyn and one brother Michael McHugh.
