FOREST, JEAN

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, Jan. 17 at 11 a.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church, corner of 7th and Washington streets, Hoboken, for Jean Forest, 75, of Hoboken. She passed away surrounded by her family on Dec. 22 at the Hoboken University Medical Center. Jean was born and raised in Brooklyn and moved to Hoboken in the early 1980s. She worked as a patient advocate at the Graystone Psychiatric facility in Morris County for the state of New Jersey for many years before retiring five years ago. Jean was a Hoboken resident. She was well loved and respected in the community, also very politically active and involved in many local community projects. Jean is survived by her son Benedict J. Forest and his wife Amy Goldsmith, as well as two grandchildren, Zachary and Kara Forest, and she is also survived by a sister Mary Corchia. Services arranged by the Lawton-Turso Funeral Home, Hoboken.
