BAYONNE — The city of Bayonne is opening two warming centers on Wednesday, Jan. 7, due to the severe cold weather expected.
The centers are the Fire House Recreation Center, 597 Broadway (near 27th Street) and the 56th Street Senior Center (by Avenue B).
The sites will be accessible from 8:30 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Jan. 7.
“These two locations will provide people in need an opportunity to stay warm,” said Mayor James Davis. “The city of Bayonne is happy to assist our residents on this cold winter day.” Additional weather-related announcements will be made as needed throughout the winter.
