Overnight warming center to open Wednesday night, as it’s going to be cooooold

HOBOKEN AND BEYOND — The city of Hoboken announced that it will open a warming center on Wednesday, as temperatures are expected to drop to 10 degrees. We will post other cities’ warming centers if we get the info. If you see someone struggling outside with no shelter, please pass along the information.
Today (Tuesday) is a cold day as well, with flurries falling throughout the morning and temps below 20 (see photo).
A bulletin from Hoboken said: “Due to the forecast for single digit overnight temperatures and as low as -10 degrees windchills, the City of Hoboken Office of Emergency Management and Community Emergency Response Team will open a warming center at the Wallace School at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7 until 8 a.m. on Thursday, January 8. The Wallace School is located at 1100 Willow Avenue.”
