A funeral mass was offered Dec. 8 at St. Ann’s RC Church, Hoboken, for Helen V. Falco, 77, of Hoboken. She passed away surrounded by her family on Dec. 3 at Hoboken University Medical Center. Born in Jersey City, Helen was a benefits clerk for the city of Hoboken, retiring after twenty years. During that time Helen was also assigned to the Hoboken Police Federal Credit Union. She was predeceased by her parents, Dominic and Stephanie Mercurio; and a brother, Dominick Mercurio. Helen will be missed by her husband of 58 years, retired Hoboken Deputy Fire Chief Ray M. Falco; and her children, Debbie Scardigno and her husband Vito, Michael Falco, Bobby Falco and his wife Janice, Jane DeSimone and her fiance Kevin, and Raymond Falco. A great joy in Helen’s life were her grandchildren, Vito, Stephanie, Ray, Jessica, Julia, Bobby, Dante, and Alyssa; and her great grandchildren, Eva and Eden. She is also survived by two brothers, Stephen Mercurio and his wife Carin, George Mercurio and his wife Bertha; and a sister, Veronica Bather. Services arranged by the Failla Funeral Home, Hoboken.
