Bayonne families invited to holiday Autism Friendly Day

Kerry Magro, an adult on the autism spectrum and national speaker, will be hosting Autism-Friendly Day at Santa’s Elf Factory on Saturday, Dec. 13 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Join the celebration at Tommy Two Scoops, 177 York St., Jersey City.
If you have a child on the autism spectrum who would like to meet Santa, sponsors have covered his/her fee. Just RSVP for your child at http://bit.ly/SantaAutism. You must register to participate.

Big Band playing at Grace Lutheran

Celebrate the holiday season by attending the Big Band Jam on Thursday, Dec. 11 at 7 p.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, 836 Ave. C. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
A free-will donation will cover admission. All proceeds will benefit the Hand in Hand Music School Scholarship Fund.
The event is hosted by Grace Lutheran and the Thrivent Action Team.
The Hand in Hand Music School is a joint ministry of Trinity Parish in Bergen Point and Grace Lutheran.

VFW seeking World War II veterans for TV interviews

Joyce-Herbert VFW Post 226 Commander Glen Flora has invited writer Michael Cove of Australia’s Wildbear independent media production company to interview Bayonne WWII veterans the week of Dec. 15 at the post’s Veterans Museum, 9th Street off of Broadway.
Veterans who are interested in being interviewed are asked to schedule an appointment by calling Post 226 at (201) 858-1416.
Transportation will be provided for those who need it.

‘Yes Virginia the Musical’ presented this weekend

The Theatre Group at All Saints Catholic Academy, in conjunction with Macy’s, will present ‘Yes Virginia the Musical’ this weekend at The Theatre at Saint Andrew’s, 4th Street and Broadway.
Performances are Thursday, Dec. 11, Friday, Dec. 12, and Saturday, Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 14 at 2 p.m.
