It’s Christmastime again

To the Editor:

This is the season in which people try to do something extra special to make someone happy for Christmas. Let’s do so. Every year my family and I donate to hospitalized children who will not have the chance to receive presents under a tree. Last year we set a goal of 150 presents and along with the generosity of many Bayonne residents we collected 367 gifts and delivered them to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick. This year we have the honor and privilege to work with the Gary La Pelusa Association and the La Pelusa family. We are donating to St. Peter’s hospital in New Brunswick this year. From firsthand experience we found out what a wonderful children’s facility this is. We need toys and gifts for kids ranging from the ages of a day old to teenager. Items must be new and unwrapped. The only items we cannot donate are stuffed animals and balloons. We can arrange drop off or pick up. Please contact me (Jennifer) at (201) 275-5309 at any time. On behalf of myself and the Gary La Pelusa Association as well as his family and mine, thank you in advance. Let’s give sick children a Christmas. ‘Tis the season.
