Conte to run for state assembly in the 31stDistrict

JERSEY CITY– Joe Conte, a lifelong resident of Jersey City, has declared his candidacy in the Democratic primary for the New Jersey State Assembly in the 31st District. Conte has been active in the Democratic Party in Jersey City and Hudson County for over twenty years, including serving as the Chairman of the Jersey City Democratic Party for five years. He has also served as ward leader for Ward A in Jersey City and is currently a committeeman for the Hudson County Democratic Party.
“I have lived in the 31st District most of my life and I have a unique understanding of the needs of people in the District. I am a regular working guy and I will be an effective voice on behalf of the hard working men and women of the District.” said Conte.
Conte is employed by the Jersey City Board of Education and is currently the Vice President of AFSCME Local 2262.
