BAYONNE – The city’s art scene continued to thrive, with a successful Sunday, Nov. 30 show at Hendrickson’s Corner, 31st Street and Broadway.
Sixteen artists showcased their work in the second floor banquet hall at the facility, according to proprietor Bob O’Neill.
More than a dozen different types of media were on display, including acrylic on canvas, pencil, watercolors, charcoal, and pastels. There was also handmade jewelry, sneaker art, spray-painted wine bottles, and an oil painting with taxidermy, a three-dimensional piece with a rattlesnake emerging from it.
Lauren Ferguson, a music teacher by trade, but an artist at home, sold one of her works and was happy with her good fortune.
“My artwork is the practice of ‘Zen-doodling,’ so it’s a meditation art process,” she said. –Joseph Passantino
