BAYONNE – The Bayonne Initiative is looking to make Thanksgiving brighter this year for needy families and is asking for the public’s help by contributing canned foods until Sunday, Nov. 23.
Donations of nonperishable foods can be made at its collection site at 174 Broadway, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Requested items include: low-sugar cereal; rice, pastas, soups, and sauces; canned fruits and vegetables; canned proteins, such as chicken, tuna, and salmon; peanut butter and jelly; and baking products, such as dessert mixes.
