A Special thank you to the 40th Street Florist and Horace Mann’s PTA

To the Editor:

Our kindergarten classes are busy at work in Horace Mann School. With autumn upon us, one of the things our students learned about was the life cycle of a pumpkin. One of the best ways to learn is with a hands-on approach. Our kindergarteners were able to have that experience with a pick-your-own pumpkin activity in our very own “front yard.” With the help of our Horace Mann PTA and George from 40th Street Florist, our pumpkin patch was brought to life. It was a fun- filled day with pumpkin picking, apple cider, silly pumpkin face photos, and parents to share in the joy of learning. Thank you to Dr. Quinn and all of those who participated in this wonderful day.
