JERSEY CITY – On Saturday, Oct. 25, volunteers armed with hammers and paint brushes will converge at Country Village in Jersey City to help residents still trying to recover from Superstorm Sandy. These storm victims will be among the dozens of local residents who have received assistance from Rebuilding Together and the Hudson County Long Term Recovery Committee.
“It’s upsetting to know that two years after the storm, there are residents still feeling the impact of Superstorm Sandy,” said Assemblyman Carmelo G. Garcia (D-33 rd Dist). “But thanks to groups like Rebuilding Together and the Hudson County Long Term Recovery Committee, victims can get the assistance they need to get back on their feet and into their homes.”
Rebuilding Together, Hudson County Long Term Recovery Committee, Jersey City EMS, Saint Peter’s University, and Assemblyman Carmelo G. Garcia will be out at about 8:45 a.m. and work to about 1 p.m.
