A funeral mass was offered Oct. 7 at Our Lady of Grace Church, Fairview, for Vincent Tabbachino 73. He passed away Sept. 29. A former recreation councilman for the town of Guttenberg he was a retired Guttenberg police officer and member of PBA Local 88 and retired Local 600, and a real estate broker, insurance broker and an accountant who owned Tabbachino Associates. He was past president of the Ridgefield Unico, a member of the V.F.W. North Bergen Post 2648, State of NJ American Legion and the Ridgefield Elks. He was also former treasurer for Anna Klein School in Guttenberg. He was “Unican of the Year” in 2008 and since 1989 dedicated his time and effort to making every fundraising event a success. He rose from 3rd vice president to president, serving two terms. He has served as District VI Governor encompassing Ridgefield, Cliffside Park, Fairview and Fort Lee.
He is survived by his wife Annette Tabbachino. He was the father of Vincent Jr. and his wife Elizabeth, Catherine Ann Meglio and her husband Frank, Kimberly Scalanga and her husband Louis, Darren Sherry and his wife Elizabeth and Kristi Mennona. He is survived by his brother Diego Tabbachino and his wife Jeanette and sisters in law Michele and Roseanne Sherry. He was the grandfather of Trevor, Heather, Samantha, Joseph Jr., Julianna, Vincent George, Monty, Bianca, Rita, Melissa and the late Kaitlyn.
