Funeral services were held Oct. 1 for John P. Kelly Sr. of Jersey City. He died peacefully on Sept. 27. He was born in Union City, and lived in Jersey City for over 50 years. John was a truck driver for White Rose in Kearney. He was a member of the Jersey City Elks Lodge 211. He was the husband of the late Jacqueline Kelly; father of John P. Kelly Jr., Janet Alfonso, Sandra Kelly, Robert Kelly, Maryann Crawford, and Linda Murphy. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
