BAYONNE – The Social Security Administration will hold sign-ups for mySSA online accounts on Wednesday, Oct. 1, from noon to 3 p.m. at the Bayonne Economic Opportunity Foundation, 555 Kennedy Blvd.
With a mySSA account, Americans can keep track of their earnings and verify the information each year. They can also use the account to get an estimate of future benefits if they are still working.
“A mySSA account can also help provide individuals with letters that serve as proof of benefits, if you already receive them,” said city spokesman Joseph Ryan.
Anyone establishing a mySSA account must have an e-mail address.
Nearly 14 million Americans have already registered to establish their own mySSA accounts.
