Pelosi comes to Jersey City

JERSEY CITY – Former speaker of the House of Representatives and current Democratic Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi paid a visit to Jersey City this week as part of an all-star political cast celebrating the opening of Martin’s Place, a national model for prisoner reentry programs. Pelosi along with U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez were instrumental in passing the federal Second Chance Program, a bill that was signed into law by then President George W. Bush. – Al Sullivan
