Jersey City residents are talking about City Hall employee’s strange 3 a.m. anti-litter rant

JERSEY CITY — In a tirade laced with vulgarities, Brooke Hanson, an employee of Jersey City City Hall who works on litter programs, yelled at people hanging out on Bostwick Avenue around 3 a.m. on a recent night, according to media reports. This video, posted on Facebook, shows her holding court in high heels, dramatically fuming about the quality of life. The video has been shared on Facebook 200 times.
After the video was shared over the weekend, some said Mayor Steve Fulop should fire Hanson, while others thought her frustration about her neighborhood was justified.
“This wasn’t a press conference,” wrote someone posting to JClist. “Any of you who have never cursed due to frustration, booze, entitlement or whatever else you are condemning here, throw that first stone.”
