BAYONNE – Astra Health Centers, an urgent care facility at 564 Broadway, in the heart of the city’s central business district, celebrated its official grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, Sept. 10.
Mayor James Davis performed the honors, and was joined by Councilmen Juan Perez, Gary La Pelusa, and Thomas Cotter. Raghu Varma, medical director for Astra Health, represented the center.
The facility gives residents an alternative when seeking health care for acute injury or illness. It features hours until 9:30 p.m. during the week, 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, and 5 p.m. on Sunday.
The facility has been open since Aug. 14.
