JERSEY CITY – Greek food, music, and fun will be on tap this weekend in the city.
The annual Jersey City Greek Festival will be held on Saturday, Sept. 6, from noon to midnight, and Sunday, Sept. 7, from noon to 8 p.m., at the Evangelismos Tis Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church, 661 Montgomery St..
Festival admission is free.
Musical entertainment will be provided and will feature a mix of Greek and American tunes.
A variety of homemade Greek dishes will be offered, as will ouzo and an assortment of Greek beers and wines.
Free parking will be available behind the church, as well as in a lot at Saint Peter’s University, Montgomery Street and Jordan Avenue, across from the Jersey City Armory and one block from the festival.
Proceeds will benefit the cultural and community programs of the church, which serves Hudson County’s Greek Orthodox community.
