North Bergen man stabbed to death after Jersey City party

Kermy Amparo-Berroa, 22, of North Bergen, was stabbed to death at a house party in Jersey City just before 4 p.m. on Aug. 16, said Hudson County Prosecutor Gaetano Gregory. Jersey City police also found another stabbing victim, a 22-year old from Jersey City, who was treated at Christ Hospital for non-life threatening stab wounds to the upper body.
Detectives believe that party goers leaving the party on Manhattan Avenue had an altercation with the two men as they were arriving in front of the house.
The prosecutor’s office said a 19-year-old man and a 21-year-old from Jersey City were arrested in connection with the alleged non-fatal stabbing, and have been charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
