A funeral mass was offered July 23 at St. John Nepomucene Church in Guttenberg for Vilma Hruska, 96, of North Bergen. She passed away July 19 at Palisades Medical Center. She was born in Oxford and a resident of North Bergen for 65 years. Vilma was a first grade teacher for 33 years at Catherine E. Doyle Elementary School in Woodridge. She was a graduate of Demarest High School and New Jersey State Teachers College. Vilma was predeceased by two sisters and three brothers. Although she never married, she leaves a sister, Helen Waselewski, and brother, Joseph Hruska, Sr., and nineteen nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Delta Sigma Rho Sorority Club and a Girls Club. Services arranged by the Vainieri Funeral Home, North Bergen.
