A funeral mass took place July 12 at St. Michael’s Church for Edward P. Cosgrove, a lifelong resident of Jersey City. He passed away July 9. Ed was an Army veteran and served with the 1st Infantry Division in Germany. He spent the next 38 years in the trucking industry, retiring in 1990 at which time he and his wife spent time traveling throughout Europe and the United States.
Edward was predeceased by his brothers John, Thomas and James. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 58 years Emily (Millie); sons Mark Cosgrove and Kevin Cosgrove and his wife Patrice; sisters-in-law, Helen Bufano and Catherine Cosgrove and many nieces and nephews.
