North Bergen proudly held its 74th annual Flag Day parade this year on Saturday, June 14.
The parade began at the corner of 85th Street and Bergenline Avenue and proceeded south to Miller Stadium at 57th Street and Bergenline Avenue in West New York.
Many local residents and organizations turned out in uniforms and colors—from Cub Scouts to police, sports teams to marching bands—to wave flags, celebrate the day, and share their patriotism.
Among the elected officials who marched in the parade were North Bergen Mayor Nicholas Sacco, Guttenberg Mayor Gerald Drasheff, West New York Mayor Felix Roque, several North Bergen commissioners, freeholder candidate Anthony Vainieri, and Assemblywoman Angelica Jimenez.
